Proposed Moveable Bleacher Fundraiser

June 17th, 2011 by rickscully

The Friends of the Tunbridge Fair are trying to raise $4500 for a new portable metal bleachers that seat 70 people. Bleachers are needed at various popular venues during The Fair and other events. The idea of portable units that could be placed and moved around safely and easily really appealed to everyone.

The UAS Board has budgeted for one unit and the moveable hitch asked the Friends to underwrite the cost of the second unit. At least one other Vermont fair placed an order and combining our order will reduce the shipping costs and ensure the additional seating is available for use this year.

If you can help, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Check out the “donate” section of the website to either donate securely online or find out how to make a donation by mail. Thank you!

Questions can be directed to Nancy Howe at 889-3750 in the evenings.

Proposed Seasonal Footbridge Fundraiser

April 23rd, 2010 by rickscully

The Friends of the Tunbridge Fair are trying to raise $28,500 for a new metal, telescoping bridge to replace the older wooden one that is structurally unsound and in need of expensive repairs.  The new bridge will be wide enough for small motorized carts to travel across and will greatly improve access to parking and open up camping space, which is attractive to non-Fair events that continue to be an important revenue source.

If you can help, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Questions can be directed to Nancy Howe at 889-3750 in the evenings.
